EMaryland Marketplace Advantage
The State of Maryland conducts the majority of its procurements through eMaryland Marketplace Advantage, an online procurement system that is a business tool to provide vendors with easy access to State procurement information.
Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Certification
The State's MBE Program was created to ensure that socially- and economically-disadvantaged small business owners are included in the State's procurement and contracting opportunities. The Maryland Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) Office of Minority Business Enterprise (OMBE) is the State’s Official Certification Agency. Visit their Minority Business Enterprise Certification page for more information.
Governor's Office of Small, Minority, & Women Business Affairs
The Office's role is to connect the State's small business community to greater economic opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Resources provided through the Office can be explored here.
Ready, Set, GROW!
Ready, Set, GROW! is the Governor's Office of Small, Minority, and Women Business Affairs signature outreach event. The procurement connections workshop series travels across the state providing insightful information on how to navigate the procurement process and connecting small, minority, and veteran-owned businesses with buyers from State agencies. Participants also get to meet resource partners who can help start, grow, or expand their small business.
